recently read a book titled “The Monk and the Riddle”, with a central theme on “Deferred Life Plan”, which basically means that you are doing all the time things that you have to do (or at least you think so), so that later in the undefined future you will be able to do things that you would really enjoy doing. This kind of life plan could become problematic, since it just keeps feeding itself.
The focus for this week is to think of something you always wanted to do in some aspect of your life, but have deferred it forever. Try to plan on bringing closure to that task. Now, try applying the same idea every week or even every day. In the doe-chang, think of how this translates to you.
Sunday: Kicks with target (basic kicks & kicking combinations), 3′s and 1′s, group work for new technique
Monday: Kicks for height, High kicks with target, creative kicking combo (with ideas from every student), group work on new technique, free-sparring
Tuesday: Kicks with and without target - focus on precision and snap-back (20 from each side), Blocking techniques, forms (with same focus)
Thursday: Endurance through warm-ups into the kicks, lateral stepping exercise, free-sparring (focus on patience and speed)
Thanks,
Kamal
